COMPLETED CONTRACTS
Final Account
Once all the works have been completed, signed off and practical completion achieved it is time to agree the final account.
This is a follow on from the interim valuations and a job made much easier if variation costs have been agreed or forecasted during the interim valuation stage. It is usually a requirement of the contract that this stage has a time limit on it, so it is essential that the final account be progressed as soon as possible.
As with the other earlier stages this is part of our regular service to contractors and the like.
Dispute Resolution
If the contract has not run as smoothly as everybody would like, or there are parts of the account that are remaining un resolved then we can help with the negotiation of an agreement that will be as acceptable as possible to all parties.
Should such agreement not be possible we can advise on the other routes available to you to conclude the dispute whether it be over time, quality or money.
CDM Files
As part of your obligation under the CDM Regulations it is required that you prepare and hand to the client the Job Safety File.
We can advise and assist in the issuing of this document as required. Some contracts make the issue of this a condition of your final payment.
This was the first time we had undertaken such a complex building project, and Steve was recommended to us by our architect for the crucial role of QS.
