This project was for the conversion of an old shoe industry warehouse into 54 No flats over 4 floors and the building of 14 No new flats over 3 floors with under croft parking and piled foundations.

The building was in a good state generally, part had to be demolished for the development of the new build block. The ground floors had to be lifted above the flood plain, the roof structures removed to allow flats in the roof void to be formed and then all fitted out to modern standards

This was a 2 stage tender initially working from a cost plan and then negotiating an accurate contract sum as the design was developed in conjunction with the contractor and his subcontractors. We provided full Quantity Surveying services to the contractor for the stage 1 and 2 tenders, then monthly interim valuations with the client and the subcontractors.
